9 Chelsea players could miss their next EPL game after contact with covid19 positive individuals

We are seeing a lot of covid19 cases among players in this November break, unlike the September and October break.

Some players only found out about their positive covid19 test after playing the full 90 minutes. A Croatian player was even substituted at halftime, after his covid19 test came out positive.20 of Chelsea first team players are currently working with their national team and they are at risk of coming in contact with covid19 positive individuals, either through their travels or during international games.

People who have close contact with covid19 positive individuals are normally required to quarantine.

So who are the Chelsea players who may have had contact with covid19 positive individuals and are in danger of missing the premier league restart?Domagoj Vida played the first half of Croatia 3-3 friendly draw with Turkey, before his covid19 test came back positive at halftime and he was substituted.

Mateo Kovacic was an unused sub in that came but he shared same dressing room and training pitch with his Croatia teammate, Vida.Mason Mount, Reece James and Tammy played in England 3-0 friendly win over Ireland.

Losing these 9 players will have a serious impact in Chelsea season.

The international break was already boring even before the covid19 pandemic.

It is unclear whether players who came in contact with covid19 positive individuals are required to quarantine but playing international friendlies in the middle of a pandemic is another example of football authorities greed and endless thirst for money.
